There was a boy who was hungry and happened to search the kitchen of the house in the absence of his parents. Suddenly, he saw a jar full of peanuts. He was elated and went to grab the peanuts. The boy put hand into the jar, grasped the peanuts, But…was then stuck!!
The boy kept trying to get the peanuts out. But when he created a fist holding on to the peanuts, it was impossible for him to get his hand out. He was screaming, crying, struggling the best he could in order to take the hand out of the jar. Later, his mother came in. She told him to release the peanuts and free his hand. He did so and became free.
Here point to be noted is that, The boy tried everything to free his hand except letting go.
Probably, many of us do the same with our thoughts and emotions. We ignore them, fight them, pull them, push them etc. Then we become trap of our own thoughts and emotions. Sometimes we forget that if we can just stop trying to control them and let them go, we’d feel free of them.
Have a Great Day

I am Pradip Parajuli. I have been in helping profession since 13 years. To tell the truth, I am a new Life Coach practitioner. Yet prior to becoming a Life Coach, I spent 5 years working as a Counselor; and before that I used to work as a Social Worker and Program Manager in a reputed International Non-governmental Organization. I am practicing Counseling as well as Life Coaching. From the get-go, I loved life coaching. As I kept going and trained in Counseling, Hypnotherapy, NLP, Life Coaching (Beginner to Advanced), my belief that I had found my niche in life was cemented. That niche is to help people get unstuck and find more purpose and enjoyment in their lives.
I genuinely do understand when clients say they’re looking for a change, but don’t know what it is yet or how to achieve it. Because I have been there, done that and thankfully was lucky enough to walk away to now be doing a job where I never have to think “Thank God it’s Friday (TGIF).”
